Questions? What does my sitting fee pay for? The sitting fee pays for the time
we spend together during the actual photo shoot, either one hour of
my time or half an hour if you are participating in a mini-session. What happens if the weather forecast indicates rain for the day we have our session planned? I will be in touch with you
approximately 24 hours before your scheduled sitting to make certain the
weather is cooperating. What happens if my child or other family member gets ill or is otherwise unable to be at our sitting? I am used to the need to be
flexible....that is key when working with families. Don't worry.
Just try and let me know as far ahead of time as possible. We'll
reschedule at the earliest possible appointment. Who can be a part of the portrait sitting? Anyone who wants to be. I
don't charge extra for additional subjects. The sitting fee covers
one hour of my time, and that time can be used to photograph as many
family members as you'd like. I always suggest that Mom and Dad
come along ready to be photographed with their children, if for no other
reason than to have a record of just what you looked like when your
children were young. I have very few pictures of me and my parents
when I was a little girl. So please consider coming dressed and
ready to sit in on a few portraits. Oftentimes having Mom or Dad
in some of the pictures can help ease children who are not entirely
comfortable in front of a camera. What type of clothing do you suggest for the sitting? This is a highly personal
preference. As you can see when paging through my galleries, my
clients choose everything from very casual clothes to somewhat formal
"picture-taking" clothes. Feel free to bring a change of clothes
(or two). Remember, this is your time with me for us to create the
portraits you want. Do you have any advice for the day of our portrait session? Yes. Relax. Enjoy.
I hope to create portraits that embody the real nature of your children
and family. The only way to do that is for everyone to be relaxed
and comfortable. I usually spend time with children working to
make them feel comfortable, often sharing my camera equipment with them
so they'll know what it is we're out doing. I suggest you bring
something to drink for younger children and maybe even a small snack.
We take breaks as needed and often spend time playing and checking out
the natural world around us. You can't force a child to have a
good time. You certainly can't force a child to smile naturally.
So I don't suggest we even try. Let's try to create a fun
session so your family won't dread having their portraits taken in the
future! How long will it take to gain access to my online proofs? Typically I will post your proofs
online within 48 hours of our shoot. Your proofs will remain
online for 60 days. You may order portraits through the
online proofing site or through me. How long will it take to fulfill my order? Orders generally take 2 weeks
to fill whether placed through the online proofing site or through me. Museum-quality prints and handcoloured prints
may take up to
4 weeks. I will let you know when you place your order. Can I purchase my proofs? Yes. You may purchase any or
all of the proofs of the portraits we create. Check my pricing
page for all of the details. You may also purchase a DVD of our
entire portrait session for $75, or if your order totals $250 or more,
the DVD is free. How do I order through the online system? Check this page for complete information.
If you prefer, you can place your order through me. Compile your list, being careful to ensure you are capturing the "right" number (bottom left-hand corner beginning with your name, e.g., Crain00X.jpg). You can e-mail the list to trishacrain@trishacrainphotography.com. I accept credit cards only through PayPal or through the online proofing system, and payment plans are available. I accept checks, money orders, and cash. Do you offer any products other than actual pictures? Yes. I offer digital
paintings and canvas portraits. I am always looking for ways to
expand my offerings, so if you have something in mind, please mention it
to me. What kind of guarantee do you offer on your portraits? I am not satisfied unless you are. I want you to be 100% happy with the portraits we create, or I will work to make you 100% happy. Please let me know if you have concerns about the longevity or display of your portraits. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
If you think of other questions that would be helpful to be posted here, please contact me.
